Something happens inside of you when you get out of the car and breathe the atmosphere here. Your worries seem to fade away. You hear the birds sing, the wind whizzing in the trees, you look at the fields and will probably see some grazing deer, or a horse-rider. You have come to Avesta Kanotcenter.
You have come to a farm with a lot of history. The farm consists of four buildings: The main building which dates back to 1898, originally a school, the bakery (the original oven still functioning), the wing of the building where our five rooms are, and the barn where the canoe center is located.
There are four double rooms and one single room, all of them in an old-fashioned style, with wooden floor and framed doors. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dining room that all guests can use, and a bathroom with shower and toilet in the hallway.
Price per bed: 250 SEK
Bring your own linen. Each guest ensures that the room is tidy before leaving.
Rental of linen: 50 SEK/bed
Room cleaning: 200 SEK
Price for breakfast: 50 SEK/person
When booking canoe-trips we can also book a pitch for tents, where you also have access to shower and toilet. Price: 50 SEK/night.
