Description
Start and end location: Fryksåsvägen in Fryksås to Rättvik's travel center. There are several places to walk on and off the trail, but many choose to start the hike in Fryksås and follow the trail to Orsa and on to Rättvik. See link to get to trail map.

Severity: The hiking trail mainly runs on paths through a large hilly landscape. Elevation differences of over 400 meters occur.
Environment: The area around Siljan is known for its incredible nature, genuine villages and strong traditions. All this can be experienced during a hike on Signaturled Siljan. The hiking trail can be divided into different stages and count on a few overnight stays. There are rest areas and campsites along the trail. As the terrain can be wild in places, proper preparation and equipment is needed for a longer hike. It is possible to buy food and water in some places when the trail passes communities and villages, but during certain stretches you need to bring food. Lakes and streams provide opportunities for swimming and fishing.
Facilities: At the starting point in Fryksås there are restaurants (Fryksås hotel and Smidgården, check opening hours) and at the end place Rättvik there are shops and restaurants. On other days, you need to bring food. Water is available in some watercourses along the trail, but be prepared to carry water with you for longer distances as there are long distance between refill points.

Train goes to Mora, then you go by bus with the bus company Dalatrafik to Fryksås. Car users can park in long-term parking in Mora, take a bus to Fryksås and also take the bus or train back at the end of the hike in Rättvik.
