Lillnipen 1.5 km

Easy summit hike on Nipfjället with brilliant views of Härjedalsfjällen in the east to Fulufjället in the west. Follow a clearly trodden path up to the nearest peak, Lillnipen. Go the same way back.

Start and end location: The hike starts at Nipfjället's summer parking, a drive about 20 min, 10 km from Idre Fjäll. From the parking lot, follow the path straight north up to Lillnipen. Length: 1.5 km, round trip. Trail markings: Clear trodden path. Time: About 1 hour. Severity: An easy short summit tour. Environment: It slopes well all the way on this hike so expect to get warm. The tour can be taken as a good end to the day after dinner. The Troll Road can be found at Nipfjället. Stop at the Trollvägen sign and follow the instructions. An exciting phenomenon that occurs in only a few places. Hint: Visit Nipfjället at sunrise or sunset, then there are usually fewer hikers and easier to capture magical moments in pictures.
