Walking through different types of forests and up a mountain with breathtaking views.

Start and Endpoint: At Skebergs community center in the village of Backen. Length: 5 km, circular trail. Trail Marking: Yes, orange marking. Time Required: 1-2 hours. Difficulty Level: Challenging. Parts are steep uphill and downhill. Environment: Hiking in Skeberg that goes through various types of forest, from clearcut areas to slightly older forests, with the possibility to hike up to Skebergsklitten for a panoramic view over the area. The hike is partly challenging but clearly marked and with good trails. Parking: At Skebergs community center. At the starting point, there is a sign with a map, from which you follow the orange markings. The following description applies if you hike counterclockwise and go to the viewpoint, but you can also choose a different path, as seen on the map at the starting point. The first 1.5 km is uphill with some steeper parts, which can be demanding but worth it when you reach the viewpoint that is 425 m above sea level. It's a good idea to bring a packed lunch because you'll want to stop and rest while enjoying the views for a while. When you're done at the viewpoint, continue hiking on the mountain past a communication mast, and then it goes downhill. Here, it's partly steep and can be slippery if it has rained, so take care. When you reach flat ground, you'll arrive at the southern Nålbergs summer pastures, where you can choose to head towards Nålberg if you want to extend the hike. If you want to continue back to the parking lot, the next section is over a clear-cut area where you have a beautiful view over Djursjön. After this, it's not far back to the starting point.
