Älvdalen, Hykjeberget

The Siljansringen is a result of the great crash when a meteorite hit here 380 million years ago. The cliffs are popular with both climbers and nesting birds.

To the upper parking lot, 2 kilometres in total: From Älvdalen Centre, drive north on RV70. After 3 kilometres, turn right following signs to Sveg/Klitten. In the next Y-crossing, take right towards Klitten. Drive through the village Klitten and onto the gravel road. Follow the gravel road until the mountain farm Hyk, keep to the left and drive until the road ends in a turning point.

To the lower parking lot, 5 kilometres in total: From Älvdalen Centre, drive north on RV70. After 3 kilometres, turn right following signs to Sveg/Klitten. In the next Y-crossing, take right towards Klitten. In the village Liden, turn right on "Nässjövägen". Follow it to a Y-crossing named "Nässjövägen/Sjurby". Turn left on Nässjövägen. Follow the gravel road until it ends.
