Alderängsrundan 7 - 9 km

An inspiring hike in a nature reserve with a coffee stop at the scenic slogboden by the river's edge where you enjoy the rippling sound of the river. Peaceful!

Start and end location: The tour starts above the steep slope down towards the Österdal River and then through the reserve makes its way down to the shoreline. The tour then follows the river's edge to make a detour up into the forest. See directions. Length: 7 - 9 km, circular loop. Trail markings: Blue 8.5 km, red if you want to shorten the trip to about 7.5 km which you can do after about 2.5 km on the blue loop. Time: Approx. 3 - 4 hours Severity: Easy hiking on trails and forest roads with a little hilliness. Environment: The part of the route that runs within the reserve has a varied character with open hay fields, primeval forest-like areas and pebble beaches. The loop with a blue-red marking, called Älvslingan - at 2 km there is now the opportunity to walk along the river. Cool if there is a lot of water roaring in the river. Within the reserve, there is a chance to spot beavers, otters and lynxes as well as a lot of different nesting birds and protected plants. Facilities: Outdoor toilet at the beginning of the trail.
