Cross country skiing in Säfsen

For those who love cross-country skiing, Säfsen is the perfect place. They have 115 km of well-maintained cross-country skiing trails for both classic and skate skiing. Enjoy the beautiful nature along mountains, valleys, lakes, and waterways. When it's time for a break, there are many cozy shelters where you can light a fire or just relax for a while.

Starting point: Säfsen's cross-country skiing starts easily from one of the four trail centres placerade vid Skidområdet, Stugbyn, Elljuspåren eller Östertjärnsvägen. Length: 150 m – 7,5 km Difficulty: varying degrees of difficulty. Trail marking: Trails are colour coded according to how hilly the trails are. Trail description: Säfsen has a total of 57 km of well-kept cross-country trails for both classic skiing and skate. Säfsen cross-country skiing is easily accessible from any of the four trail centres located at Skidområdet, Stugbyn, Electric light tracks or Östertjärnsvägen. Facilities: Showers at Säfsen Alpin. Ski waxing shed at the start of the electric light track. Track cards: Can be purchased and loaded online or in Skiduthyrningen's shop; Skidboden which is in the ski area.
