Folkärna church is very beautiful next to lake Bäsingen.
Probably the very first church was made of wood and built in the 14th century. It burned down in 1378 and was replaced by a rectangular gray stone building with a sacristy. In the latter part of the 15th century, it got a tower of gray stone and brick. This tower still stands today and with its original white blinds it is considered one of the best preserved medieval towers in Dalarna. The spire is from 1788.
