Holmsjöarna is a nature reserve with three lakes; the Large and Small Holmsjön and Vasstjärn. With its 274 hectare, it is Borlänge’s second largest nature reserve. The main object with the reserve is to preserve the rich bird life.

Go southeast from Borlänge center on highway 70 and take the second exit at the roundabouts. Take the exit to Dalarna Airport and Romme and then turn left towards the trotting track (travbana) on road Överstevägen. Turn right towards Rommeholen and drive straight on Holm (road 789), then turn left to Elins väg (road 806). The nature reserve's car park is on the right side of the road.
