Lortån

Nature reserve with a footpath along the river. Natural stocks of freshwater pearl mussel. Remains of old mills and charcoal pits.

The hiking trail in and around the reserve is about 2.7 km long and leads you on a hike with lots of water, history, nature and culture. There are traces of human activity since the 17th century in the reserve. You can read about this and much more on the information boards along the path, which tell about coal mining, mills, environmental goals, nature and more. The walking path leads you on towards the Gästgivarbodarna farmhouse, and then ends at the starting point.
