Fjällberget 9 km

A hike from Våtsjön up to the top of Fjällberget through old-growth forest and over marshland. The mountain is at 525 meters above sea level the municipality's highest mountain, but the view of Lake Våtsjön is best experienced on the slope on the way up or down.

Start and end location: The trail starts at the parking lot/slog shed at Vådsjön. Length: 4.5 - 9 km, short circular loop and single way most of it. See map link. Trail marking: Orange paint and wooden signs point out the way. Time required: 1-3 hours. Severity: Easy to moderate. Description: The hike can be extended in several ways by the opportunity to walk back and forth on the mountain pasture path, or down towards Skäppsjön. The old mountain pasture path ends at an older clearcut after a kilometre, but the view from there is beautiful over the lake and mountains. Down towards Skäppsjön, the path continues for one kilometre through old-growth forest before it leads to the young forest. Please note, however, that the path continues. The round, where the hike goes up to the top and then back and forth both on the mountain pasture path and down towards Skäppsjön, will be about nine kilometers long. The trail is located both on newer quad bike roads and old mountain pasture paths as well as over marshland, so expect it to be wet. Parking: At Vådsjön.
