Prediksstolen Tansvägga Nature Reserve

The Preikestolen offers an impressive view of the surrounding landscape. This cliff rises 400 meters above the sea and provides a fantastic vista. Combined with the nearby Tansvägga Nature Reserve, it's an excellent spot for hiking and climbing.

From Tansvägga, you're offered a fantastic view! Gaze out over the vast expanses to the east and south where Ludvika municipality meets steep cliffs. There are also hiking trails to explore. The reserve is managed by Gagnef Municipality. At the top, there is a rest area with a shelter and grilling facilities, but bring your own wood if you plan to grill. Hiking The trail from the parking lot to Predikstolen is about 600 meters and it's a challenging walk with varied terrain, steep slopes, and roots. There's a longer hiking trail with a light green marking on some trees indicating the path through the reserve. The trail splits, and you can choose to walk 3.5 km or 4 km. At the end of the 4 km loop, there are small caves in the cliffs and boulders. Climbing Predikstolen attracts many climbers with its exciting climbing routes along the rock walls. Always be careful near the edge to avoid kicking down objects that could injure climbers below.
