About Your Privacy
At Visit Dalarna, we care about your personal integrity and always strive for a high level of data protection (for example, we would never sell your personal information to another company). The information below is a general overview for those who may have personal data stored with Visit Dalarna AB.
In May 2018, a new law came into force, GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), enacted by the EU. This law is designed to protect EU citizens and determine who owns the rights to personal data. In brief, the individual owns the rights to their own personal data, and as a company/organization, we must protect this data from falling into the wrong hands. It is our duty to inform you about how we use your personal data, where it is stored, and how it is used.
Ordering Personal Data
For deletion, changes, or extracts of personal data, please contact our Communications Manager via email at info@visitdalarna.se or by mail to:
Visit Dalarna AB
Vasagatan 6
795 30 Rättvik
Your inquiry should include the following information:
- Description of your request (what is desired)
- Description of specific reasons, if necessary
- In which roles you have been in contact with us (See table below)
- Special description if extracts from email conversations are desired (see below)
- How you wish to receive the information (collected or sent by registered mail)
- First name & Last name
- Preferred method of contact for additional questions:
- Possible: Company you have been employed by during contact with us
- Option 1: Address, City & Postal code
- Option 2: Email address
- Option 3: Phone number
Extracts and changes in email are particularly difficult and extensive. Our employees have the option to use the company's email for personal matters. Also, the email system lacks the ability to centrally search and access the contents of employees' individual email boxes. Therefore, we need additional information as well as a purpose description of why the data is desired.
The following information is needed for searching for email conversations:
- Names of employees with us or to whom emails have been sent.
- During which period (from and to date) conversations have occurred.
- Why the data is desired and what purpose it serves.
- We reserve the right to assess the extent and justified reason for the requested task.
Special reasons:
Upon request for deletion/anonymization, the data subject has the right to be forgotten, provided that it does not violate any other laws/regulations in Sweden. In cases where a person wishes to be deleted, personal data may still exist in any backups.
As it is difficult to delete individual records in backups without extensive work or risk of destroying other historical data, we reserve the right to assess the risk of harm to the individual in question. If the data subject opposes this assessment, we request a description of the specific reasons why the backup should be deleted. Such a description should include an explanation of the harm the data subject may suffer upon retrieval of the backup (reasonable basis).
Security measures:
The organization is required to make the information available to you within 30 days. For security reasons, the Data Protection Officer is obligated to verify your identity and protect your privacy before we can provide the information you requested. Therefore, there are two (2) alternatives to obtain this information:
- You can retrieve the data yourself at our Head Office in Rättvik, on an agreed-upon day/time.
- For this meeting, you must bring an approved ID document (See Police and Swedish Tax Agency).
- We will send a USB storage device via registered mail, to be collected at cost.
In cases where it is possible for the data subject to access, modify, and be forgotten/anonymized via their own login to the system, the data subject shall handle this themselves through their login.
