Saxdalen Saxenleden 11.5 km

One of the longer hiking trails in Saxdalen. The Saxen Trail goes around Lake Saxen.

Start and End Location: Gamla Gruvvägen 5. Length 11.5 km, loop trail. Trail Marking Green marking. The green marking starts after 1.6 km at Uppegården to avoid confusion with the 1.4 km section of Låsbergslederna. Until the green marking begins, there are signs with "Saxenleden." Difficulty Easy. Description The trail goes along paths and smaller gravel roads. Saxenleden heads north. At Styggviken, you can choose to go over Stackarberget or follow the shoreline. If you choose the route over Stackarberget, you can ascend to the top of the mountain for a view of the village. Resting places are available at Asplövstjärn, Ullnäsbron, Smedtorpet, and the boathouse. At Styggviken, there is a grill area. Parking and an information board with a map are located next to Lake Saxen; initially, follow the signage towards the chapel to the starting point. Parking at the starting point.
