Spruthuset

Falun's smallest and perhaps coziest restaurant and brewery can be found in the old fire station right next to the Falu River.

The spaces are few, but if it's crowded, you can also stand at the bar. In the old fire tower known as Spruthuset, you can quench your thirst and satisfy your hungry stomach with beer brewed just next door. There, you'll find Villovägens, Falun's own beer. In summer, you can also find the unique outdoor seating along the Faluån. This is a completely unique and unbeatable environment. Spruthuset was constructed at Fisktorget in 1884 to house the newly purchased steam fire engine. The characteristic brick building with its octagonal tower served the fire department until 1911 when the new fire station on the other side of the river was completed. The tower was used to dry fire hoses. The building has also served as a fish shop, a tourist office, and now as a dining venue.
