Tangsjön 22 km

Beautiful lakes and expansive views await you on this hike to Tangsjön. Make it a long day trip or stay overnight in the Tangsjö cabin.

Start and End Point: Start at Brottbäckstugan. Brottbäckstugan is the second entrance on the way up from Mörkret to naturum. It is located a few kilometers from naturum. It has a parking lot with space for about 25 cars, a rest cabin, and an outhouse. Naturum kindly requests that those planning longer tours in the mountains use this parking lot instead of occupying space at the naturum parking for several days. Length: 22 km. Trail Marking: Orange markings on the stones. Do not follow the red winter trail crosses. Duration: Approximately 1-2 days. Difficulty Level: No significant elevation changes and relatively easy terrain, though rocky in some parts. Environment: Start at Brottbäckstugan and head towards Särnmanstugan, then southwards to Tangsjön. From Tangsjön, continue towards Göljåstugan, then to Klortjärn and back to Brottbäckstugan. There is no bridge over Göljån, but it is a relatively easy ford. A little downstream from the crossing, there is a nice little waterfall. During your hike, you will pass several cabins where you can rest, build a fire, and use the available outhouses. There is plenty of water in the mountains, but remember to fill your water bottle in the streams, as it may be an hour to the next source. Facilities: At Tangsjön, there is an overnight cabin with 12 beds where you can rest for the day or sleep for a night. Parking: All parking at the naturum Fulufjället entrances is free, but you can choose to pay a voluntary parking fee via Swish or by going into naturum to pay by card or cash.
